On July 18, 2013, Jim shared his "Understanding Land Surveying and Flood Zones" presentation at the July Membership/Training Meeting for the Maine Building Officials and Inspectors Association in Augusta, Maine. As land surveyors we work very closely with local municipalities, especially when we are creating site plans used for municipal approval and permitting. Opportunities like this are very helpful in streamlining the permitting process, as they open lines of communication and clarify any misunderstandings about the product and service we provide.
