The Real Estate Learning Group - 2014

Since the spring of 2012, Jim Nadeau has been giving his "Understanding Land Surveying and Flood Zones" presentation regularly with The Real Estate Learning Group (TRELG), at Husson University in South Portland, Maine, and other local venues. It is a three hour course that is offered for Maine Real Estate continuing education credits, but others are welcome to attend. Sponsorship opportunities are available for these courses. If you would like to sponsor or co-sponsor one of these classes, your business will be promoted through our course advertisements on Facebook, in our monthly newsletter that reaches over 3,000 recipients, and on the TRELG course registration web page. Please contact us or The Real Estate Learning Group to learn more.

As with Jim's other presentations, the goal is to educate Realtors, mortgage professionals, and others, about issues that they may face very often but have little formal education on. Flood zone mapping and determinations, flood insurance, and challenging flood determinations have a great impact on real estate transactions. Another important topic covered is the differences between mortgage loan inspections and boundary surveys. Learn more about it by attending Jim's class. If you are interested, like our Facebook page to receive updates on course schedules.

Signed up simply for 3 credits - walked away with 3 credits and excellent knowledge.

Prior to this class I knew basically nothing about this topic. Still don't know everything, but now I at least know what questions to ask.

Helped me understand how to best inform my clients to reduce their risk and my risk. I learned I need to know more about these subjects. Great class for information.

Great information on how to protect your clients.
